When Is The Best Time To Buy In 2017?

Is 2017 going to be the year you purchase a home? If so, you will want to keep reading. We teamed up with our awesome in-house Mortgage Lender, Diane Malley of Mortgage Master to discuss Interest Rates in 2017. Check out the video below to hear what she has to say, or scroll down for a recap!

On Tuesday it was announced that the Mortgage Insurance Premium for an FHA loan decreased!  Previously the annual MIP (Mortgage Insurance Premium) on FHA loans was 0.85%, but with the new decrease it is now 0.6%! This makes the FHA loan much more attractive!

Let’s put that into perspective: On a $300,000 loan you would save you $72 / month

It is also good to point out that FHA Loans are not just for first time home owners, they’re great for any home owner that will be using the home with the FHA loan as their primary residence.

What should you expect on Interest Rates throughout 2017? An increase.

Should I List FSBO or with a Realtor?

Do you really need a Realtor? That is the first question that comes to mind when you want to put your house on the market. FSBO (fiz-bo), For Sale By Owner versus Agent represented properties create two entirely different processes with a common goal; get the home sold.

Let’s begin with FSBO. The most obvious benefit of FSBO is that it cuts out the middleman. Without a middleman the seller has a lot more control, but that also comes with a lot more responsibility. FSBO sellers are solely responsible for everything. The paperwork, showings, advertising, marketing materials, negotiations and more are the responsibility of the seller.

A Realtor's day-to-day activities are focused solely around getting your home sold not to mention, are fully aware of all regulations, laws, contracts and practices. With an agent, you can be rest assured that you did not miss any pertinent dates and deadlines throughout the transaction that could put you at risk for defam ...
