We are proud to be a Keller Williams Realty team for many, MANY reasons – but in May one reason stands out in particular: RED Day!

Introduced in 2009, RED Day, which stands for Renew, Energize and Donate, is Keller Williams Realty’s annual day of service. Each year on the second Thursday of May, associates celebrate Mo Anderson‘s birthday by spending the day away from their businesses serving worthy organizations and causes in their communities. RED Day is just another example of our commitment to each other and to the cities and towns where we live and work.

This year the Keller Williams Devon-Wayne office has partnered with The Arc of Chester County, a leading provider of services to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities and their families, where we will helped around the campus doing any and all tasks that are asked.

When we arrived on at The Arc, our team of about 30 were split up and assigned different tasks across the campus, outdoors and inside! Those that went to work outside landscaped, cleaned the student transportation vehicles and sanitized the playground.

The inside team was in charge of organizing closets, stuffing envelopes and sanitizing the children’s toys. They told us that The Arc is all about cleanliness because of how quickly germs spread with young children – so they make sure to sanitize and wipe down the many, MANY toys the children play with every day.

Unfortunately, mid-way through the day the rain started so the outside team had to join the inside team with their tasks. Although the rain caused a switch up with volunteering, it was perfect timing for a lunch break! The Arc provided our RED Day team with pizza and drinks as a token of appreciation for our help!

Once refueled, we went back to our jobs and finished the day! Before heading out, the RED Day team had sometime to chat with the staff at The Arc. They expressed how thankful they were for our help. Without volunteers this organization would not be able to thrive. We are so thankful to have helped out such a wonderful and giving organization!
